How to book your place
We believe everyone deserves the gift of wellbeing, so we are offering Mindful Monday sessions with the option of selecting how much you want to pay. We simply trust that people are honest and will support us to continue and do more of this kind of thing in future, with whatever they can afford. No matter how much you pay, or if you book a free place, you are welcome to come and join the meditations with us.
Space is limited at Native Self, please book your place in advance, so that we can manage numbers. Simply let us know your name and the date you are booking for.
If you can afford to, we will be grateful if you can pay up to £10 per session.
You can also book a discounted place, pay £2 - £5, whatever amount works for you.
Or book a free place, you will still be made most welcome.
Thank you for any contribution you are able to make which will enable us to continue to promote and provide access to mindfulness in our community. Find out more about Mindful Thanet, what we do and why we do it.
The meditation space at Native Self can accomodate up to ten people seated. This photo shows approximately half the available space.
Start your week with a mindful group meditation followed by an inspiring reading, cup of herbal tea, and group chat, in the beautiful downstairs room at Native Self in Broadstairs.
The session will be facilitated by Lorraine Williams, co-founder and producer of Mindful Thanet, who has been a mindfulness leader since since 2008.
A short introduction will include guidance and direction for those that need it. Whether you are an experienced meditator or new to the practice, you will be able to participate fully. If you already have a practice which works for you, you can use it in our circle. All we ask is that you are still and quiet during the meditation.
Chairs, cushions and mats will be provided and you can choose how you want to sit, or lie, in the space.
We will ask you to remove your shoes before entering the meditation room, so you may want to bring slippers or wear thick socks for comfort.
