Open Meditation Thanet is a free group which meets at 6pm on Wednesday evenings to share in the experience of silent meditation - and sometimes guided relaxation.
Open Meditation is suitable for both beginners and experienced meditators. If you have a meditation technique that works for you, you can practice it in our group. If you need a little guidance, the introduction at the start of each session will tell you all you need to know to participate fully in the session. You are invited for herbal tea and a group chat at the end.
From 21/2/24, these sessions will be at Eats'n'Beats, 56-58 King Street Ramsgate, in their quiet, upstairs room. We are very grateful for the kind support of Meredith at Eats'n'Beats for kindly providing this space to benefit the community.
Prevously we sat at Archive in Ramsgate Harbour from 2017 - to the start of 2024. We are hugely grateful to them for their kind support over several years.
We are always glad to welcome new people. Please feel free to come along or get in touch if you have any questions you'd like to ask in advance.
This group loosely follows the format of the Open Meditation Camden group which Lorraine used to help to run in London, before her transformative move to the East Kent coast in 2011. Feel free to visit the site for that group, for lots more information and meditation resources, or indeed to contact them to attend one of their sessions if you are in London - you will be warmly welcomed whichever group you choose to attend.
