Harbour Sound Bath Meditation at Ramsgate Festival 2018
Mindful Thanet are holding a special Harbour Sound Bath Open Meditation session during the Ramsgate Festival of Sound which anyone can attend. This follows the popular Dream Marine Open Meditation session at the Ramsgate Festival in 2017.
The group normally meets at 6pm on Wednesday evenings to share in the experience of silent meditation - and sometimes guided relaxation. This special session will include a poem written for Ramsgate Festival of Sound by Mindful Thanet co-creator, Lorraine Williams - and participants will be invited to experience the unique sounds of the harbour in a group meditation. A full introduction will ensure the session is suitable for beginners or experienced meditators. Any other preferred silent meditation technique can be practiced alongside the Sound Bath. “You can meditate in a hurricane” Suitable for anyone to participate in, whether or not you have prior experience of practicing mindfulness or meditation. The meditation is a chance to honour the here and now. The introduction and meditation will last 30 minutes and herbal tea will be served at the end when there will be a chance for participants to ask questions or share with the group, until 7pm. Please arrive slightly early for a prompt start. There is no charge to attend, any donations made will be donated to Ramsgate Festival. The space at Archive is beautiful, light, spacious and airy and overlooks the harbour. Don't miss the Gong Bath the following evening at the same venue! |
Mindful Thanet are grateful to Archive, for kindly allowing use of their upstairs room for this and the usual weekly Open Meditation sessions.
Children of any age are welcome providing they sit quietly during the meditation. Mindful Thanet and Open Meditation were designated Ramsgate Treasures in 2017. Visit the Festival website for the full 2018 programme which runs alongside Ramsgate Week regatta. |
